THE WORDSMITH INITIATIVE

Educational Consulting & Publications

Relationships and connections grow from the language we use, whether positive or negative!  Our words have the ability to build relationships and create positivity.  When partnered with consistent, caring support, our language has the ability to transform lives and build resiliency! The Wordsmith Initiative was founded on the belief that all students are important and they should feel valued.  As we build connections, we increase self-esteem, self-control, and a vision for the future.

STORY OF THE WORDSMITH INITIATIVE

Who Is The Wordsmith Initiative?

The Wordsmith Initiative developed out of the literary collaboration between Suzanna LoMagno-Harris and Christine R. Pennington.  Both educators, these two friends saw opportunities to revolutionize and change education.  With years of experience in a variety of educational arenas, they have developed theories and initiatives that transform schools and communities!  Suzanna and Christine present engaging and valuable workshops and professional developments.

In addition to consulting, together they penned the Suzi and Lulu children's book series which reviews the  Covid-19 pandemic while offering coping strategies for children.  This series presents relevant and enriching text to guide instruction and keep students engaged in the learning process.

The Wordsmith Initiative expands beyond its literary contributions to education.  TWI is based on the principle of empowering young minds to be resilient and pursue their natural curiosity of learning. Every learner can achieve with encouragement, support, and consistent cheerleaders!

Too often we forget that discipline really means to TEACH, not to punish. A disciple is a student, not a recipient of behavioral consequences.
